HOW CHIP WORKS
chip has three parts, always available wherever you are:
1. Find local providers
chip starts from your current location, but you can just as easily pick any other place instead. Set the distance slider and choose a category, then tap "Show Results" — chip shows you the providers available for your selection.
2. Local information & community
Tap the menu icon (☰) for everything beyond providers: Report shares hazards and local incidents nearby; Pinboard lists local classifieds — for sale, wanted, lost & found; Contacts connects neighbours for everyday help and exchange; What's On? shows planned events, closures, and markets in the area. You'll also find About chip, Favourites, Settings, Feedback, and a full FAQ there.
3. In an emergency
Tap the SOS button — visible on every screen — for the local emergency number and your position, wherever you are.
